Product Description
Uncompromising Safety: Structural Walkable Glass Floors
Designing a glass floor or skywalk requires materials that offer absolute structural integrity. Our Walkable Laminated Glass Floor Panels are engineered to support massive loads while providing stunning, transparent aesthetics. By permanently fusing three or more layers of fully tempered glass with high-strength PVB or SentryGlas (SGP) interlayers, we create a rigid, shatter-proof barrier.
Whether it's a breathtaking glass bridge over a canyon, a transparent floor over a luxury swimming pool, or high-traffic commercial glass stair treads, our structural glass provides the ultimate combination of light transmission and unyielding safety.

Comment & FAQ
Q1: What is the difference between PVB and SGP for floor glass?
A: While PVB is good for standard safety, SGP (SentryGlas) is highly recommended for floors. SGP is 100 times stiffer and 5 times stronger than PVB. In the rare event that all glass layers break, an SGP laminated panel will remain rigid and hold the pedestrian load, whereas a PVB panel might sag or collapse.
Q2: How thick should my glass floor be?
A: Thickness depends entirely on the panel size (span) and the required load rating. A common configuration is 31.52mm (10+1.52+10+10), but our technical team can assist you in calculating the exact thickness required for your specific frame support.
Q3: Does the glass scratch easily when walked on?
A: Glass is highly durable, but grit on shoes can cause micro-scratches over time. We recommend using our Anti-Slip surface treatments, which not only provide traction but also hide minor wear and tear better than a completely clear surface.

| Glass Substrate | Clear Float, Ultra Clear (Low-Iron) - Highly Recommended |
| Interlayer Type | SGP (SentryGlas) for structural/outdoor use; PVB for standard indoor use |
| Load Bearing | Custom engineered to meet local pedestrian load codes (e.g., 5kN/m²) |
| Edge Finish | Flat Polished Edges, Chamfered Corners for safety |
| Max Size | Up to 3300mm x 12000mm (Jumbo panels available) |
|
Optional Surface
Anti-Slip (Non-Slip) Surface: For areas with high foot traffic or outdoor exposure, we apply a permanent acid-etched or ceramic-fritted anti-slip pattern to the top layer of glass to prevent slip-and-fall accidents.
Ultra Clear (Low-Iron): Since floor glass is exceptionally thick, standard glass will appear dark green. Low-Iron glass ensures a crystal-clear, brilliant edge and true color representation.
Frosted / Translucent: Interlayers can be made translucent to diffuse light and provide modesty/privacy for people walking below.

Testing Quality
Load & Deflection Testing: Simulating heavy pedestrian and equipment loads to verify deflection limits.
Hard Body Impact Test: Dropping heavy steel balls from significant heights to ensure the panel does not shatter or collapse.
Post-Breakage Retention: Verifying that even if all glass layers break, the SGP interlayer will hold the load and remain in place, preventing falls.
